A MATCHED GEORGE III/GEORGE IV FOUR-PIECE SILVER TEA SERVICE VARIOUS MAKERS, LONDON, 1817/1819 Comprising a kettle on spirit stand by I.E. Terry, 1819, teapot by William Fountain 1817, milk jug by Messrs. Hougham, Royes and Dix, 1817 and sugar bowl by John Baddeley, 1819, leaf-capped scroll handles capped by heads with flowing hair, sides chased with chinoiserie figures to kettle and teapot and all heavily chased with flowers and scrolls on textured ground, kettle with raffia-bound swing handle terminating in dolphin masks and poppy husk finial, on a stand with openwork aprons of flowers, spout of teapot with mask, flowers and fruit, kettle spout chased with an eagle and terminating in a dolphin's head, teapot with ivory insulators to handle, all with vacant cartouches IMPORTANT NOTICE ON LOTS CONTAINING IVORY: The USA has recently changed its policy on the import of property containing elephant ivory. Only Asian Elephant ivory may be imported into the USA, and imports must be accompanied by DNA analysis and confirmation the object is more than 100 years old. Buyers will be responsible for the costs of obtaining any DNA analysis or other report required in connection with their proposed import into the USA.
