A Meissen armorial two-handled ecuelle, cover and stand Circa 1745, blue crossed swords marks The double C-scroll handles enriched with gilt pendant husks below gilt shells, of octafoil form with four alternate panels moulded with Gotzkowsky erhabene Blumen divided by two panels of Holzschnitt Blumen and two with a blue escutcheon with a gilt PPI cypher surmounted by the Imperial crown and flanked by flags and military trophies, the domed cover and stand similarly decorated, the finial formed as a rose, gilt diaper pattern and line rims (écuelle with crack from rim and slight wear to gilt line rim, finial with restored shallow chip to underside of one petal and small restored chip to another petal) 7¼ in.
