A MEISSEN CHINOISERIE TEABOWL AND A SAUCER Circa 1735, blue crossed swords marks, gilder's 10., Dreher's and impressed :: for Grund Senior to the teabowl The teabowl exterior with four gilt flutes enclosing brightly coloured scenes of Orientals at play on a continuous green terrace, the interior in Purpurmalerei with a mother and child within double circle, the rim gilt with a band of Laub-und-Bandelwerk ; the saucer with a Chinaman standing beside a smoking brazier, a monkey eating fruit at the right, a bird in flight above, the vignette on a gilt trellis bracket enriched in iron-red, purple and Bttger lustre, the rim with a gilt band; together with a Meissen teabowl, circa 1730, blue crossed swords mark, finely painted in colours with two European harbor scenes within shaped gilt cartouches edged with purple and iron-red scrolls and issuing indianische Blumen ; and a Meissen table bell painted with huntsmen in landscapes reserved within gilt rocaille scroll and diaper cartouches on the ground painted with scattered flower sprigs 4in.
