circa 1830 Modelled by Kändler from an engraving of a drawing by Francois Boucher, a shepherd presenting a garland of flowers to his love, both seated beside the well, another man spying on them from behind an architectural ruin, all wearing brightly coloured and patterned costumes picked out in gold, 23.5cm high, crossed swords mark, incised 2270 (base broken and restored, restoration to flower garland and a few extremities)
