A NORTH AFRICAN TOE-LOCK GUN; AND AN AFGHAN COMPOSITE FLINTLOCK GUN 19TH CENTURY The first with tapering octagonal barrel with brass standing backsight and retained by four silver bands decorated with repoussé scrolling foliage, the tang encrusted with silver scrollwork, iron lock faced with brass, the edges cut with scrollwork and incorporating a brief inscription, the mechanism similarly cut with scrolling foliage and incorporating a brief inscription at the base of the cock, wooden three quarter stock inlaid with engraved silver flowerheads and with a series of silver plaques pierced with flowers and scrollwork, brass butt plate and later brass-tipped wooden ramrod; the second with wooden full stock inlaid with patterns of mother-of-pearl plaques 150 cm. and 122.4 cm. barrels (2)
