A novelty pocket/fob watch, by Piaget, the signed cream dial with black Roman numerals, within inner case with presentation inscription verso, numbered ‘9513 124340’, and cabochon sapphire crown, the inner case hinged within outer case, modelled as a woven case/purse with envelope lid, signed and stamped ‘750’, with pendant loop to top right corner, within black crocodile leather travel slip, also signed to the inside, watch dimensions 41.5mm x 30.5mm. £800-1000 Condition Report The watch is in good condition, the dial and glass are fine, with very light wear only to the case. The movement is unviewed (the inner case is sealed with four small screws and has not been opened) and the watch untested for timekeeping; a full service would be recommended. The case closes securely and is opened by pushing gently to centre front. The inscription to the reverse of the inner case reads ‘To Joe, from Bill, with deep affection, 50th birthday, Jan 5.1973’. The leather travel slip is also in good condition. Gross weight is 55gm.
