A pair of Bombay School of Arts black earthenware bottles with covers India, 19th Centuryeach of compressed globular form with long waisted neck, strap handle and domed lid, engraved with floral and foliate decoration each 27 cm. high(2)FootnotesAn almost identical bottle is in the Sèvres Museum, Paris (MNC 7421). A bowl and cover of the same type is in the Stoke-on-Trent Museum and was donated by Rudyard Kipling and is described as being from Nizamabad.
