A pair of Chinese archaistic bronze vases, zun, 19th century each with the mid-section decorated with two taotie masks divided by fin-shaped flanges reserved on leiwen ground, the flared neck with upright cicada blades, the splayed foot with a band of moulded pairs of confronting mythical beasts, twin fish and archaic script marks; a pair of Japanese bronze quatrefoil censers decorated with a mythical beast among scrolling foliage, applied with twin beast ring handles and zoomorphic supports, Meiji -- 9in. (22.8cm.) wide; and a pair of Japanese bronze vases decorated in relief with monkeys seated on rockwork and climbing a tree, Meiji -- 10¾in. (27.3cm.) high. (6)
