A pair of Joseph Holdcroft majolica flower or stick stands in the form of a stork and heroncirca 1880 each naturalistically modelled, the wading birds each feeding and standing on rockwork before bulrushes and iris, impressed marks 76cm., 30 in. high and 72cm., 28 3/8 in. highCondition reportOf generally good appearance but with some professional restoration to extremities. The Stork has some damage and restoration, notably to the bill and the snake and some further restoration to the lily pad to the left of the bulrushes. Some restoration to rim. The Heron is restored to the bill and crest, the flower by the foot, the wing tips and extremities. the extent of any loss or replacement cannot be reported accurately without more invasive examination. The lot is sold in the condition it is in at the time of sale. The
