A PAIR OF NAPOLEON III ORMOLU-MOUNTED CUT-BRASS-INLAID RED TORTOISESHELL 'BOULLE' MARQUETRY EBONY AND EBONISED BIBLIOTHEQUES THIRD QUARTER 19TH CENTURY Each of rounded rectangular outshape, decorated overall in première partie with scrolling foliage and flower-filled urns, the arched pediment centred by an amorial trophy with the motto ' SINE MACULA ET NIVE CANDI DIOR ', flanked to the corners by flaming urn finials, above a pair of bevelled glazed and panelled cupboard doors enclosing three glass shelves with spotlights, the angles and sides headed by male and female terms, on a plinth base headed by acanthus clasps terminating in lion masks, fitted for electricity 100 in. (254 cm.) high; 60 in. (152.5 cm.) wide; 14 in. (35.5 cm.) deep (2)
