A pair of North European carved oak models of winged lions, late 18th or early 19th century, portrayed with stylised mouths agape and seated on rectangular plinths, each 53cm high, 43cm wide, 18cm deep Condition Report: Both with marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Old splits and chips - see images. The bases are later and of late 19th/early 20th century manufacture. A rear foot to one griffin has been broken off and glued back in position.
