A RARE BRONZE RETICULATED BRUSH POT 17TH/18TH CENTURY Raised on three ruyi supports, the sides finely cast in openwork on one side with a five-clawed dragon pursuing a flaming pearl amidst clouds above rocks and waves from which a carp rises towards a pavilion in the clouds above, the scene separated by rocks from a scene on the reverse of monkeys climbing in the branches of a pine tree, all below clouds cast on the rim, the base cast with a coiled chilong 6 3/8 in. (16.2 cm.) diam.
