A very rare configuration of the M16 was used at nuclear power plants by guards who needed a compact SMG. A2 carry handle rear sight, fixed flip-up front sight, and M231 Firing Port Weapon handguard. Bolt with 9mm heavy insert, trimmed dust cover with brass deflector. Straight blowback operation. CONDITION: Very good, with a few marks from handling and operation. Bore is very good with strong rifling. A neat example of US Department of Energy weapons! EW
