A RARE SPANISH MIQUELET-LOCK OFFICER'S PISTOL OF THE ROYAL BODYGUARD, with 7in. barrel retained by a brass double band at the muzzle, the top flat engraved with the Bourbon Arms of Spain, inscribed 'Rl Cuerpo de Guard s de la Persona del Rey', and struck with the gold-lined mark of Eusebio Zuluaga, flat lock signed Zuluaga and with brass pan cast with an animal's head, (top jaw and screw replaced, lower jaw repaired), full stock, brass mounts, the pommel cap and trigger-guard finial each decorated with a fleur-de-lys, the trigger-guard signed Ramon Zuluaga , chequered butt, and iron ramrod, early 19th Century 13¼in. (34 cm.)
