With brass barrel cast in relief over its entire length against a punched ground in the Mannerist style with crossed branches of laurel issuing from a flaming urn and centred on a vacant cartouche, foliage and a herm behind the ring-shaped muzzle, foliate engraved two-piece iron tang, signed patilla lock with fluted bridle at the cock and pan, the former engraved with a monster-head and foliage, and cut with a pattern on the inside of the jaws, the latter with vertically grooved steel engraved with a bird on the front, figured full stock entirely inlaid with pinned iron panels pierced and engraved with symmetrical foliage within engraved foliate borders, spherical pommel en suite (some loss of inlay), spur trigger-guard, iron fore-end mounts engraved en suite with the stock, and slender steel ramrod (belt hook missing) 17 cm. barrel
