The silk textile (likely an antimins) with embroidered image of the Entombed Christ with angels and cherubim. The hair of Christ, the stone of anointing, the halo and loin cloth all finely embroidered in silver, silk and bullion thread and the borders embroidered with liturgical text as found in the Liturgy of John Chrysostom as well as in a troparion from the Paschal Triodion: "In the grave fleshly, and in Hades with the spirit as God, and in Paradise with the Thief, and on the throne you were, Christ, with the Father and Spirit, all-filling, unlimited." The edges fire damaged. Professionally mounted in glazed frame. 19 inches x 25 inches (48.5 x 63.5 cm). Together with another fire damaged bullion embroidered velvet liturgical cloth (likely a chalice veil) and embroidered in Slavonic text around central cross form, Благословен грядый во имя Господне (Blessed is He who Cometh in the name of the Lord) and also professionally framed. Approximately 20 inches square 51 cm). Unillustrated.
