A Russian silver-gilt and cloisonné enamel card case Fedor Rückert, Moscow, circa 1890 decorated with the King of Spades, and the Queen of Diamonds, each on a white ground and within stylized floral and scroll border, the top of the hinged cover with a medallion beneath the imperial eagle, decorated with the pious pelican and with Russian inscription 'For the benefit of the Imperial Foundling School', gilt interior with two compartments, scratched number 2410 9.7cm high, 4.5cm wide, 7cm deep Provenance: Christie's New York, The Greenfield Collection of Russian Enamels, 20th October 1998, lot 166 Christie's Geneva, Gold Boxes, Important Miniatures, Highly Important Works of Art by Carl Fabergé Russian Objects and Paintings, 16th November 1994, lot 329 Sotheby's New York, Fabergé, Russian Works of Art and Objects of Vertu, 6th and 8th December 1993, lot 485
