A Sailor's model of a Steam Yacht Anonymous (American, 20th century) This model, with a built up wood hull which has been painted with a green bottom, gold waterline and white topsides. Along the topsides are portholes which have been fashioned from brass grommets. The decks of the model are from mahogany veneer. The model is fitted with many details which include: anchors, anchor windlass, primary and secondary cabin structures, search light, rigged masts, ventilators, radio antennae, deck railings, 6 ships boats rigged on davits, a single funnel painted a buff color, bollards, and other details. The model is displayed on a pair of brass pedestals in a brass framed glass case with a mahogany base. 38 x 10 x 15¼ in. (96.5 x 25.4 x 38.7 cm.) cased dimensions. built ca. 1950
