A SET OF TOURMALINE AND DIAMOND JEWELLERY Comprising a pair of ear pendants, each suspending an oval-shaped paraiba tourmaline weighing 7.87 or 6.94 carats, spaced by brilliant-cut diamond scrolls and marquise-cut diamond leaves, to the oval-shaped paraiba tourmaline surmount weighing 4.49 and 3.39 carats; and a ring set with an oval-shaped paraiba tourmaline weighing 8.37 carats en suite, all mounted in platinum, ring size 6, ear pendants 5.3 cm long Accompanied by five reports dated 3 December 2007 and 2 September 2008 from the Gübelin Gemmological Laboratory stating that the five tourmalines are of paraiba variety Also accompanied by a note stating that the bright vivid blue and green 'Paraiba colours' (sometimes also referred to as 'electric blue' or 'neon blue' in the trade) are caused by varying amounts of the elements copper and manganese. The bright vivid blue and green 'Paraiba colours' have not been seen in any other gemstone variety (3)
