A SIX PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE, maker's mark of Bigelow Bros. & Kennard, Boston, also stamped Coin. R & W., mid 19th Century, comprising tea kettle on stand, straight spouted teapot, long decorated necked coffee pot, two handled covered sugar bowl, cream jug and tub form waste bowl, each straight sided oval, one side monogrammed within bright cut, foliate flanked, ribbon tied, shield shaped cartouche, the other bright cut engraved with floral centered foliate spray, all bordered by wrigglework, and applied beaded, bands, the pots with conformingly engraved angular handles, part engraved fluted scroll spout, the molded high domed hinged cover topped by gliding swan finial, the tea kettle with overhead swing handle, the oval doubly chained stand on four foliate scroll supports headed by openwork tapering foliate scrolls-- the tea kettle on stand over handle 12½in. (31.7cm.), gross weight 147.5oz. (6)
