A SMALL GOLD-SPLASHED BRONZE CENSER QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY of cylindrical shape rising from a short flared foot, decorated just below the shoulder with a band of ruyi-shaped clouds, the slightly waisted neck embellished with a twisted rope band, the sides set with a pair of stylised cloud-shaped handles, an apocryphal four-character Xuande mark within a rectangular cartouche on the side, the base engraved with a central floret 10.2cm., 4in.
