Estimate

Beschreibung:

Approximately 3,000 Navy revolvers were manufactured 1858 to 1860. Manufactured in New York. Features six shot, double action with blued finish, walnut grips, and case hardened hammer, trigger and lever. This is a Martially marked example. Proof 'T's on frame, barrel and recoil shield. Barrel has about 80% of the original factory high polish mirror blue. Nice case colors on hammer and loading lever. Top strap has approximately 50% blue. Frame has approximately 75% original blue. Trigger guard has traces of blue. One piece walnut grips have cartouche on left panel that is partially visible. Cylinder has all of its original nipples but all blue has flaked off to a shiny gun metal with age freckling. Indexes and locks up perfectly. Near mint bore. This revolver is much rarer than its Army counterpart and hard to find with any condition and this particular example looks to have little use, retaining the majority of original finish with the exception of the cylinder. Tight as new inside. Name Value Manufacturer Starr Model 1858 Navy Serial Number 1379 Caliber .36 Percussion Barrel Length 6" FFL Status Antique
