A TWO HANDLED TEA URN, circa 1790, eight panelled urn form, with scalloped rim to the base, rim and top of cover, on similar spreading stem and elongated octagonal base on four fluted tapering feet, front and back with let in silver engraved vacant shield shaped cartouche within foliate and reeded bright cut surround, with panelled spigot and covered urn topped scroll tap, the shoulder applied with wrigglework bordered broad reeded band, two upswept handles, the sloping cover with low domed top below stained green ivory urn form finial, the interior with detachable collar to the covered pig compartment-- 22in. (55.8cm.) high
