A VERY RARE AND UNUSUALLY LARGE DARK GREEN JADE BI LATE NEOLITHIC PERIOD, NORTHWEST CHINA, CIRCA 2000 BC Of somewhat irregular thickness and still retaining the original cutting line on one side, as well as the cutting marks on the walls of the central hole which was drilled from both sides, the semi-translucent stone of variegated shades of dark green with some brown veining and opaque brownish-green areas at the outer rim 13 3/8 in. (34.1 cm.) diam.
