A VERY RARE YAOZHOU CELADON CARVED VASE NORTHERN SONG DYNASTY, 11TH CENTURY The slender ovoid body deftly carved with a wide band of three lotus blooms and a lotus leaf borne on an undulating stem, all on a combed ground and set between narrow bands of overlapping petals below the shoulder and above the slightly splayed foot, the shoulder applied with two sinuous dragons with undulating bodies confronting a pair of lug handles, all below the tall narrow neck flaring to the galleried mouth rim, covered overall with an olive-green glaze, the knife-cut ring foot and base left unglazed 9 in.
