A VICTORIAN SILVER TEAPOT, London, 1887, maker's mark L intersecting G in a shield, stamped LAMBERT COVENTRY ST. LONDON, partly fluted compressed circular, on rim foot, with acanthus chased spout, acanthus capped loop handle, the everted molded oval collar with applied gadrooned rim, the partly raised and fluted hinged cover topped by molded circular finial, the underside of base engraved with inscription and date 1888--length over spout and handle 11in. (27.9cm.), gross weight 22oz.
