CIRCA 1840 BOX: three tier with brass line inlaid lid and brass drop side handles, inset bone plaque to the front, brass bowl with inner sprung cover and gimbal DIAL: the 75 mm. diameter silvered dial with subsidiary seconds and signed 'PARKINSON & FRODSHAM/ Exchange Alley/London/1201', blued steel hands MOVEMENT: single chain fusee movement with maintaining power, Earnshaw-type detent escapement to cut bimetallic balance with segmental temperature compensation weights, blued steel helical balance spring, the top plate signed 'Parkinson & Frodsham/Change Alley/London'; winding key 6½ in.
