A WELL-CARVED BAMBOO BRUSHPOT 18TH CENTURY Deeply and meticulously carved with a scene from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, with Zhuge Liang playing the qin in his thatched cottage, his attendant gesturing from the doorway of the pavilion towards Liu Bei and his two sworn brothers standing on the other side of the small bridge spanning the stream outside, while another servant tends to their horses in a stand of pine trees nearby, the scene divided by a rock face on the reverse, of rich honey color--6 in. (15.2cm.) high
