Pretty chaste stuff despite innuendo-laden story titles (“The Thing that Grew,” “Going Down”). Bernie Krigstein’s “Horror in the Graveyard” features a murderer who meets the vengeful corpses of his three victims. The zombie trio, who call themselves “The Unholy Three,” bear a curious resemblance to EC’s GhouLunatics (one of the zombies is almost a “dead” ringer for the Vault Keeper). Krigstein’s biographer considers this story to be the apex of Krigstein’s early horror period: “By the time of his last primitive horror entry, ‘Horror in the Graveyard,’ he had already been taking crime in more subtle directions.” — Greg Sadowski, B.
