The finials and crest are loose; there is a large crack at the top of the right hand stile; the paint is cracking, with some flaking and residue between the cracks; the joints are sturdy; the seat rail and legs have marks, chips, scuffs and losses, all of which have been painted over; the crest is a possible replacement
