An Arita ewer, a sake bottle, a bowl and three dishes Late 17th and 18th Century The first in underglaze blue with three men standing in a landscape on each side, the neck with a band of triangular lappets, a loop handle, (cracks and handle reapplied), 15.7cm. high; the double-gourd shaped bottle in underglaze blue with scattered flowerheads, (chip), 16cm. high; the bowl decorated in iron-red, blue and green enamels and gilt with a spray of chrysanthemums and leaves, the exterior of the bottom of the bowl moulded as a chrysanthemum, 17.5cm. diam.; a dish decorated in red and green enamels on underglaze blue with sprays of various flowers, (chips and rubbing), 20.5cm. diam.; a Kakiemon style dish, in various coloured enamels on underglaze blue, the former with a spray of blossoming plum, surrounded by shochikubai emerging from rocks, signed Daimin seika nensei , (minute glaze loss), 18.3cm. diam.; the other with gilt and stylized flowerheads to the centre, surrounded by plum tree, peonies and other foliage emerging from rocks, chocolate rim above a band of triangular lappets, the reverse with a band of scrolling foliage and kin mark, (chips, kiln flaw to rim), 16.1cm. diam.
