An attractive early 20th-Century steel county beam balance, a paper label in the case for S. GARCIA LTD 780 SEVEN SISTERS ROAD, LONDON, N.15 STAMFORD HILL 1781 , the beam engraved LONDON COUNTY COUNCIL , with index arm and ivorine scale, the pans with various calibration stamps dated 1906-1957, stowing on clips in the case for travel, in a mahogany case with roll-up front pushing out the base on which the balance is mounted when fully opened, with leather carrying strap -- 24.8cm. (9¾in.) high
