An early 20th century Anglo – Indian silver christening mug, Bombay or Poona dated 1908 Raj period. Of tapering cylindrical form with embossed decoration of swami pattern Hindu deities within shaped cartouches, loop handle chased. The base edge punched B.J.P 13-6-08. Stamped underneath 85. Together with another christening mug, Bombay circa 1910, tapering cylindrical form with chased foliate scroll decoration between chased textured bands, the handle chased as a serpent. Another mug, Bombay circa 1920, chased with Cutch style foliate scroll with rosettes, vacant shield shape cartouche, gilt interior. Marked underneath T90.
