An early Victorian mahogany cabinet bookcase, circa 1850, the lancet moulded doors enclosing shelves, the cabinet base with two drawers and cupboard doors, 241cm high, 125cm wide, 54cm deep Provenance: Private Collection, The Old Rectory, Gloucestershire Purchased from T. G. Wilkinson, Petworth, in 1999. Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use, Some old splits and cracks and some repairs to the glazing bars, All the other metalware (hinges, locks, handles) appear to be original, There are two keys present with this lot, one is operating the glazed cupboard doors, the lower ones have a key inserted in the lock and is stuck firmly. this may be the right key but the lock is seized and require a good oil, or it may be the wrong lock inserted and stuck - Dreweatts make no guarantees - all elements are open at time of report, there are screws required to fix the top to the base - there are two loose with the cabinet but Dreweatts do not guarantee how good a fit or the overall stability - this would need to be fixed securely before use in a domestic setting Please refer to additional images for visual reference to condition Condition Report Disclaimer
