AN EARLY VICTORIAN SILVER SOUP-TUREEN, COVER AND LINER MARK OF JOHN SAMUEL HUNT, LONDON, 1839 Bombé oval and on four feet cast as foliage, with branch and leaf handles, the detachable cover with a finial cast as an artichoke and branch, the body engraved twice with a coat-of-arms, the cover engraved twice with a crest, marked under handles, inside handle on liner and handle 16¼ in. (41.2 cm.) wide over handles 191 oz. (5,943 gr.) The arms are those of Taylor of Lancaster and London.
