AN ELEGANT EMERALD AND DIAMOND RING
AN ELEGANT EMERALD AND DIAMOND RING Set with an octagonal-cut emerald, weighing approximately 13.09 carats, to the trapezoid-cut diamond shoulders, weighing approximately 1.13 and 1.08 carats, mounted in platinum, ring size 6¼ Accompanied by report no.12011025 dated 18 January 2012 from the Gübelin GemLab stating that the emerald is of Colombian origin, with no indications of clarity enhancement; together with a Note and an Appendix indicating that 'Colombian emeralds of this size and possessing such a high quality with a complete absence of any clarity enhancement are very rare.' Report no. 61530 dated 12 December 2011 from the SSEF Swiss Gemmological Institute stating that the emerald is of Colombian origin, with no indications of clarity enhancement; together with an Appendix letter indicating that 'Microscopic examination revealed inclusions, which represent the hallmarks of Colombian emeralds from the famous mining areas Muzo, Coscuez, and Chivor, all located in the green foothills of the Cordillera Oriental in the Colombian Andes. Its saturated green colour is due to a combination of well-balanced trace elements in the stone, typical and characteristic for fine emeralds of Colombia' Report no. 2115950025 dated 16 December 2010 from the GIA Gemological Institute of America stating that the 1.13 carat diamond is F colour, VVS1 clarity Report no. 2115950024 dated 14 December 2010 from the GIA Gemological Institute of America stating that the 1.08 carat diamond is F colour, VVS1 clarity
