MARK OF STUART DEVLIN LONDON, 1976, WITH CRAFTSMEN'S MARK OF IAN CLOWES
AN ELIZABETH II MASSIVE THREE-SECTION THIRTY-FOUR LIGHT PARCEL-GILT SILVER CANDELABRUM CENTREPIECE MARK OF STUART DEVLIN LONDON, 1976, WITH CRAFTSMEN'S MARK OF IAN CLOWES Each piece with an openwork gilt base and stem, the two end pieces each sloping and with ten plain conical sockets with integral drip pans, the central section with fourteen sockets, each stem capped with a duke's coronet finial and engraved with initials, fully marked, the coronets struck with master craftsmen's mark the central section 48 in. (122 cm.) long 28½ in. (72.4 cm.) maximum height 707 oz. (21,983 gr.) The initials are those of Viola Maud Grosvenor, Duchess of Westminster (d.1987), daughter of John Cavendish Lyttelton, 9th Viscount Cobham, who married Robert George Grosvenor, 5th Duke of Westminster (1910-1979) in 1946.
