An English George III mahogany longcase clock, Harrison Liverpool circa 1780 35.5-cm arched brass dial, engraved silvered brass chapter ring with Roman numerals, foliate pierced hands and brass spandrels, subsidiary seconds and moonphase in the arch with the inscription On Time’s Uncertain Date, Eternal Hours Depend, shaped signature plaque inscribed Harrison Liverpool, weight driven anchor movement with trip repeating rack striking on a bell, mahogany case with swan neck cresting surmounted by a pierced gallery, glass panels above the moulded break arch moulded cornice, glazed door with foliate pierced blind frets and square fluted corner columns, similar blind frets and quarter columns with gilt lead capitals to the trunk, door with moulded ogee top above a rectangular moulded panel, moulded base raised on bracket feet height 236cm
