AN ENGLISH GREY PAINTED AND PARCEL GILT SIDE TABLE CONSTRUCTED FROM LATE 18TH CENTURY AND LATER ELEMENTS, PROBABLY IN THE LATE 19TH OR EARLY 2OTH CENTURY The mottled grey, red and white marble top above a fluted frieze carved with water-leaf, the central tablet carved with a classical female figure flanked by carved palmettes and swags, the frieze corners applied with gilt-composition profile medallions, the fluted legs headed by carved foliate capitals, the underside with old Maples' depository label, re-painted and re-gilt 36½ in. (92.5 cm.) high; 67 in. (171 cm.) wide; 24 in. (61 cm.) deep
