An extremely fine and rare fully planked and rigged early 19th century model of an American armed topsail schooner of circa 1820 -- 35 x 55in (89 x 139.5cm) With masts, spars with stun's'l booms, original standing and running rigging with a few minor repairs and renewls, and deck details including, carved female figurehead, catheads with whisker poles, bitts, belaying rails and pins, gratings, one with shot rack, deck rings, glazed deck lights, ships boat with bottom boards, thwarts and rudder, eight carronades, two long guns and an Armstrong gun, all of brass and mounted (not original) and two wooden bilge pump trunks. The finely planked and pinned hull has capped bulwarks, pierced for nine guns a side and is fitted with tiller and rudder (rudder not original) , covered poop and decorated transom. Finished in black with red gun ports, polish and varnish. (See illustration)
