Scroll of 90 membranes (20 3/4 in. x approx. 145 1/2 ft.; 528 mm x approx. 44.36 m) made of brown Sephardic gevil (parchment processed for writing on the hair side only and prepared with mei afatsim [gallnut solution]); written in an elegant monumental Sephardic square script in black ink with three or four columns per membrane, except the last, which has one (average width per column: 19.3 in.; 490 mm) (total: 271 columns), and forty-four lines per column; membrane 85 (Deut. 23:22-26:12) a later replacement, with some small later corrections throughout; horizontally and vertically ruled in hardpoint on the verso. Dampstaining along bottom half of scroll causing discoloration and some brittleness with small losses to edges of parchment on ninth and tenth membranes (without loss of text); intermittent defects in sewing between membranes; occasional tears and minor fraying to margins. Mounted on modern wooden staves and accompanied by a red velvet embroidered Torah mantel with golden fringes and red and black velvet Torah binders.
