AN EXTREMELY RARE PAIR OF YELLOW-GROUND FAMILLE ROSE JARS AND COVERS JIAQING IRON-RED SIX-CHARACTER SEALMARKS AND OF THE PERIOD (1796-1820) Each of the ovoid bodies decorated with a large lotus blooms surrounded by beribboned anbaxiang , the Eight Daoist emblems amidst wispy cloud scrolls and smaller lotus blooms, all against a yellow-ground, the shoulders flanked by elephant-head handles, the short neck with band of overlapping ruyi -heads, beneath blue-enamelled classic scrolls around the mouth rim, the domed cover similarly enamelled with lotus blooms, surmounted by a lotus-bud finial, the interior and base with turquoise enamel 9 1/2 in.
