AN IMPERIAL CLOISONNE ENAMEL CENSER QIANLONG INCISED SIX-CHARACTER MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795) The compressed globular body of the censer is brightly decorated with lotus blooms and prunus, between a raised band of gilt lotus petals and ruyi -heads enamelled in sapphire-blue. The waisted neck is further decorated with a band of smaller flowers with curled tendrils, flanked by a pair of gilt scroll handles. The base is embellished with multi-coloured scrolling tendrils, reserving a central gilt rectangular panel inscribed with the reign mark in a vertical line, above a single character, Ri . 3 3/8 in.
