An Important Ceylon Prisoner of War's Scrap Album A red cloth-bound album, 12in. by 10in. (30cm. by 25.5cm.) , compiled by a Boer Prisoner of War in Ceylon, some 40 leaves containing a very extensive assortment of material, included some 50 photographs of the prison camp, life in captivity, local scenery, some groups of British Officers, prisoners, etc., postcards, pressed leaves and flowers, a copy of a telegraph message sent to Ceylon dated 5.6.1902, giving details of surrender agreement with provisions of repatriation of P.O.Ws, together with many envelopes addressed to Boer prisoners in Ceylon, approximately 100 of them to Diyatalawa Camp (including one from Austria, one from Bermuda, with manuscript Censor mark, and one from a prisoner at Shajahanpur in India) and twelve addressed to Ragama Camp, including one from Bermuda and Censor cashet, one from Russia via Potchefstroom, and one from a prisoner in India at Bellary (all envelopes affixed to pages).
