An important fully planked and rigged approx 1/4in:1ft scale contemporary model of a French 24 gun privateer of circa 1790 -- 36.5 x 49½in (92.5 x 126cm) With bound masts with cheeks, yards, very detailed rigging and scale blocks (some restoration) and deck details including carved figurehead, brass anchors with bound wooden stocks, catheads with sheaves, deck rails, companionways, hammock nettings and hammocks, capstan, deck lights, belaying rails and pins, bitts, spare top masts and yard lashed to the deck, stern and quarter davits, brass bilge pumps and helm, twenty two bronze carronades in slides and two long guns in carriages, all with tackle, shot racks and shot, carvel planked and framed long boat in chocks with thwarts and six oars and much other fine detailing. The fully planked and trenail pinned hull has decorated bulwarks, round stern, chain plates below the gun ports and finely planked decks and is finished in natural wood with black strakes. Stand.
