AN IMPRESSIVE EMERALD AND DIAMOND NECKLACE, BY VAN CLEEF & ARPELS Centering upon a detachable pendant-brooch, set with an oval-cut emerald, weighing approximately 24.32 carats, within a two-tier surround of circular and marquise-cut diamonds, joined to the necklace, set with a series of seven graduated rectangular-cut emeralds, the largest weighing approximately 11.86 carats, and the remaining six weighing a total of approximately 10.53 carats, within two-tier circular-cut diamond surrounds, joined by oval or circular-cut emerald, pear and marquise-cut diamond links, to the backchain of similar design, 17 5/8 ins., mounted in platinum and 18k gold, necklace may be separated and worn as a bracelet of 7 1/2 ins. Signed VCA, no. NY 38359 and with maker's mark (necklace); signed Van Cleef & Arpels, no. NY 37754 (pendant-brooch) Accompanied by report no. CS 1076525 dated 23 June 2016 from the AGL American Gemological Laboratories stating that it is the opinion of the Laboratory that the origin of the emerald in the pendant-brooch would be classified as Colombia, with minor clarity enhancement, traditional type With report no.
