AN INDIAN KATAR 18th Century With robust triangular blade of flatttened diamond section cut with a ribbed chevron pattern within the triangular fuller on each face, russet iron hilt of rectangular bars damascened with gold close-set chevron patterns over most of its surface, the remainder damascened with Sanscrit and with two images of Krishna , the grips en suite , and in later scabbard (the damascening with small patches of wear) 16¾in. (42.5cm.)
