An inscribed and dated huanghuali brushpot Qing dynasty, Qianlong period, dated 1740, attributed to Zhou Hao of cylindrical form, the exterior carved in low relief with leafy bamboo branches billowing in the wind, inscribed with an inscription dating to the gengshen year of Qianlong period (corresponding to 1740) followed by the artist’s seal 15.5cm., 6 1/8 in.
