AN ITALIAN IVORY-INLAID ROSEWOOD TABLE TOP ATTRIBUTED TO GIOVANNI BATTISTA DE CURTIS AND IACOBO FIAMENGO, CIRCA 1630, NAPLES The central panel with an engraved map of the world, enclosed by a border of scrolling foliage, maidens, mermaids and cornicopiae enclosed by a border of Roman Imperial medallions alternating with landscape cartouches, the outer border with rectangular plaques depicting the cities, from the upper left corner, Antwerp, an un-named seaport, Florence, Palma, Mexico, an un-named river-side city, Jerusalem, Toledo, Seville, Genoa, Paris and Rome, each plaque flanked by cariatids issuing scrolling foliage, on a later Chinese-style stained pine stand 16¼ in.
