An oak chest, Lake District/Yorkshire, late 17th century adapted for the front to hinge down, with plank top and panelled sides, the front profusely carved with trailing foliage and guilloche filled rosettes, with three horizontal panels, the central one carved and dated A.B. 1694 and flanked by lyre motifs, with four further panels below and corner spandrels, on channelled stile feet -- 57½in.
